Wimbledon Garden Design, South London

Reimagined for family life and nature, this garden blends contemporary design with a calm, wildlife-friendly retreat.

Wimbledon Garden for Living & Wildlife

An overgrown garden is reimagined as a contemporary, wildlife-friendly retreat, designed for both family life and entertaining. Structured zones, including raised beds with integrated seating, a fire pit, pergola and decking, create spaces to gather and unwind, while a generous pond introduces movement, calm and a natural focal point.

South West London, SW19

54m²

This project turned an overgrown outdoor space into a contemporary, wildlife-friendly retreat for a busy family. Designed for both relaxation and entertaining, the garden now includes raised beds with integrated bench seating, a fire pit, pergola, composite decking, herringbone clay tiles, gravel paths, and a generous pond that’s become home to fish and newts.

The space is now low-maintenance, sustainable, and connected directly to the kitchen via sliding glass doors - perfect for year-round use.

The original rotting decking and overgrown boundary bushes have been replaced with a modern, urban design that flows effortlessly from indoors to out.

Floating benches, a firepit, festoon lighting, and a tranquil pond bring both functionality and flair - while also supporting local wildlife. The existing palms were retained, offering a subtle nod to the garden’s original character.
